Undoubtedly one of the hardest achievements in Dungeons of Dredmor is Left for Dread, which is the achievement you earn from beating the game on Going Rogue (hard) with Permadeath on. Luckily, it's not really that hard if you plan properly and keep your wits about you. I just finished this achievement, so I'm going to share my tips and tricks in this guide for Dungeons of Dredmor - Left for Dread.
Although most levels in Pet Rescue Saga aren't terribly tricky or finicky, Pet Rescue Saga level 48 is one exception. This level is pretty tricky, although it's not the hardest the game has to offer. It still smells of Candy Crush style "random luck" though. I'll do my best to lay out a strategy you can use on Pet Rescue Saga level 48 to good effect.
You can say a lot of bad things about Candy Crush (go ahead, take a minute, get it out of your system) - but one thing I give them credit for is that they continue to add new content and new mechanics to keep the game fresh and keep presenting new interesting challenges to the players. Despite their best efforts though, sometimes you will find a level that reminds you a lot of one of the previous tough ones you've been through. It is hard to forget the suffering. Well Candy Crush Level 158 is one of these levels. To me it bears a significant similarity to Level 70, which was quite challenging in its own right. If you hated that level, you'll hate this one - but hopefully we can help you out with some quick tips below.
Pet Rescue Saga level 47 can appear intimidating, but it's not a particularly hard level to clear. As long as you properly manage your row blasters and balloons, you'll get through it in no time! In our Pet Rescue Saga level 47 guide, we'll share the tips and tricks you need to pass Pet Rescue Saga level 47 and move on with your pet rescuing!
Those of us old enough to remember Columns on Sega know that the debate on "derivative" puzzle games, and games themselves is as old as... well ... games. There will certainly be those who rag on Jelly Splash for it's similarity to Candy Crush. I'd actually liken it to the lesser known (and far better in my opinion) Puzzle Craft - but regardless, it is hard to argue that it is forging new territory in the match three genre. All that said, it is a decent game in its own right with cutesy art, and satisfying puzzles that seem to skew a touch less torturous than Candy Crush (which is a welcome change). If you are interested in break from crushin, Jelly Splash might be right up your alley. Read on for some beginner tips on splashing some jellies.
On many levels in Pet Rescue Saga, the overall goal is to bring something (usually pets, naturally) to the bottom of the screen or level. Another frequently repeated goal is to clear some percentage of the blocks on the level. Suffice it to say, in a lot of Pet Rescue Saga levels you need to clear as many of the blocks in the level as you can. One situation you'll find yourself in often is where you've got a whole bunch of blocks that are adjacent to each other of different colors. I call this checkerboarding. As part of our Pet Rescue Saga Guide, this article will cover checkerboarding and what you need to do to fix and/or avoid it.
At this point "Complete the Order" levels are old hat to you - and the starting Bomb and Chocolate are nothing a little rerolling or luck can't take care of - but there's more... With the Pastille Pyramid Episode(who names these things) comes the frustrating, offensive, crime against all that is holy - the Chocolate Machine. You remember how good it feels to finally rid a level of Chocolate? Hold on to that memory because it will never happen again. All is not lost though, read on for some strategies to spit in the eye of the Chocolate Satan.
After some of the previous "Complete the Order" levels, you might have seen the goal for this level and laughed. Regular Candies... how hard could that be? After a couple of attempts you begin to see how Candy Crush is at it again though, setting goals that are finely tuned to be just out of reach. Read on below for some tips on how to get ahead of the numbers and clear Candy Crush level 140.
I'm an old school, dyed in the wool capital-G Gamer. My first experience with the casual, free-to-play genre was earlier this year, when I finally broke down and replaced my old-n-busted Java phone with a state-of-the-art (at that time) Nexus 4. Up to that point, I hadn't touched any of these games with a 10' pole. I don't Facebook, I couldn't stomach the Sims or Farmville or any of those games. The free prospect was interesting, and I've spent a good portion of the last year or so going in deep with the casual free-to-play game and its target audience.
