So I enjoyed Monument Valley and if you hadn't noticed I think it stands out as a game that is worth the non-free price tag. What do you think? Leave a comment and let us know!
The RTS genre has had something of a renaissance on mobile recently. Supercell's mega-hit Clash of Clans has brought the RTS into focus on phones and tablets, inspiring a wealth of similar games to pop up. DomiNations is one of these games. DomiNations is notable for the studio that produced it - Big Huge Games. Big Huge Games and Brian Reynolds have a long and storied history in the strategy genre on PC - can they use that heritage to make DomiNations a Clash of Clans killer? Or will it suffer the same fate as so many other CoC clones? Let's find out in my DomiNations review!
This month's picks to enter the hallowed ranks of the Cult of the Fiver are a similar, yet diverse bunch. We've got two "Broken" adventure games to cover, as well as two very different FPS'es. Let's give a warm welcome to Broken Sword 5, Broken Age, Catlateral Damage, and Far Cry 4!
Lifeline is a narrative text-based game which reveals the story of a stranded astronaut named Taylor. The story telling is done by way of dialog between you and Taylor which is made to look very much like a conversation with a real person. At regular intervals, you are prompted with one of two conversation options - usually a binary decision of "do this" or "do that". Relatively few external clues are given about which is the better path, but Taylor will often give his opinion - and ultimately the events that unfold in the game feel like something you experience in real time as Taylor relays them to you.
I've often argued that cats live the good life. I live a life of stress and responsibility, while my cat sleeps and eats whenever she wants, and tears the house up with no regard for my personal property. Catlateral Damage finally lets us walk a mile in the shoes... err... paws of the average cat. But does this cat simulator good enough for your cat-simulating needs? Find out in our Catlateral Damage review.
A lot of my family members play mobile games now, and right now it seems like the current addiction is slots. Obviously, slots have been around and popular for a long time now, and Vegas slots are a gambling staple. However, it seems like recently they've been big on phones and tablets. In this series, I'll take a look at the most popular slots games, starting with my Slotomania guide.
It's no secret that we here at Without the Sarcasm love us some Rebel Galaxy. We did name it our favorite game of PAX South, remember? Recently, the fine folks at Double Damage Games released a press/streamer only alpha build. I asked nicely and got access, and spent the last week taking it for a spin around the sector. Now that it's over, let's look back at the slice of Rebel Galaxy I got to play, and come up with some sort of Rebel Galaxy preview.
Axiom Verge is a 2D retro styled sci-fi exploration game created by Tom Happ. Axiom Verge was previously a PS4 exclusive, but on May 14th that exclusivity ends and the game comes to PC players via Steam. I got the opportunity to get a review key a couple of weeks early, and so I've been working on uncovering its secrets prior to release. In my Axiom Verge review, I'll give you the rundown on the game, what I liked, and what drove me crazy.
Chroma Squad comes to us this week from Behold Studios, makers of Knights of Pen and Paper. This time around, Behold has decided to make a combination business management and action RPG game that explores the many tropes surrounding Super Sentai-style shows, which in the western world includes things like Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. Let's suit up, battle some kaiju and explore Chroma Squad in this review!
