# # 5: What should I spend my keys on in Farmville 2: Country Escape?

Keys can be used to speed the game up. However, this is generally a waste of your keys, especially if you're not planning to pay for many of them. This whole game is about waiting, so learn to be patient!

Keys can also be used to unlock things that you can't have yet, like extra buildings or extra lands. Again, though, the application of patience will reward you.

The best thing to do with keys is upgrade buildings so that they produce more at once. Usually this costs just a few keys for the first upgrade. Upgraded buildings can produce more of the same thing at once. Additionally, upgraded buildings produce more goods in less time than un-upgraded buildings do. They also require less tapping and maintaining to keep them going.

I suggest taking at least the first upgrade to each of your buildings, and some of the more fundamental buildings (like the Windmill) can benefit from several upgrades.

Once you've taken the first couple of upgrades, it's actually cheaper to buy a second copy of a building rather than upgrade your old one further. This also has the advantage of letting you produce different kinds of goods at the same time, rather than just duplicates of the game good.

The only way to upgrade and buy duplicate buildings is with keys, so it's smart playing to save your keys for these purposes.

# # 4: I'm making something at a building, and now I can't get to the thing behind it! How do I get around the timer blocking my building in Farmville 2: Country Escape?

This is annoying! But, there's an easy fix. Just zoom in.

The icons for the timers are the same size regardless of how far you're zoomed in or out. When you zoom out, they block a large portion of the surrounding crops and buildings. When you zoom in, however, you can see and tap the things behind them.

# # 3: My barn keeps filling up! How do I manage/increase my barn space in Farmville 2: Country Escape?

The barn in Country Escape is tiny, isn't it? You're going to hit 50 things stored in it in no time flat.

There are upgrades, sure, but they don't significantly increase the capacity, and it takes a while to get to them. In case you didn't know, you have to send your Farm Hands foraging in order to get the parts you need. I went over foraging in part 2 of my guide, so if you're lost, click over and check it out!

Since upgrading the barn doesn't do much, we have to settle for smart barn management.

There's a lot of stuff you can fill your barn with, but you really shouldn't. For instance, Apples and Wheat are extremely fast growing. If you plant and harvest these crops constantly, your barn will fill up double quick.

Many of the fast-growing crops I just leave ready to harvest, so that when I need them, I can just harvest and replant them immediately. For instance, if I need a bunch of Cow Milk, I'll leave my Wheat ready to harvest, and then when the Cows are ready for more Wheat, I harvest and replant the Wheat and turn right around and feed the Wheat to the Cows.

Basically, the only things I want to store in my barn are ingredients that I need to make the thing(s) I'm trying to make right now. The only exception to this is stuff that takes a really long time to grow, like Peaches and Strawberries. These take up the rest of the leftover space.

If you've got a lot of useless junk cluttering your barn, you can sell it at the Market, or use it to fill a Farm Order. You can also open the barn up and tap the "x" next to the item to remove it, but that's kind of a waste.

Instead of just growing stuff willy-nilly, figure out what your goals are, and grow those things you need to meet them. Usually your goals are things like "make money" or "make experience." Speaking of...

# # 2: What's the fastest way to make coins in Farmville 2: Country Escape?

The fastest ways to make Farmville 2: Country Escape coins is by selling your crops and crafts. There are two ways to do this. One is via the Farm Orders board, and the other is in the Market.

The Farm Orders board only shows 9 offers at a time, but it pays pretty well and gives you experience. Whenever I'm not sure what I should be producing next, I check the Farm Orders board to set my goals.

Advanced Strategy When you unlock Eagle Eye Eddie, he will probably replace the Farm Orders board as he pays better and gives you stamps towards your Prized Animals. **Read more about Eddie, Stamps, Animals and Ribbons in our in-depth guide!

The Market is unlocked a bit later than the Farm Orders board, but here you sell directly to other players of the game. The Market is across the street from your farm, at the top of the map. You can set your own price, so you can potentially make more coins through the Market than you can through the Farm Orders board.

However, there are a few disadvantages to using the Market. For one, once you offer items for sale, they can't be removed again. Another is that you have to wait for your money. Finally, you get no experience for selling things this way. But, in the Market you do get to choose what and how much to sell, and how much you want to make. So each route has its own benefits and drawbacks.

Whenever I end up with too much of a crop that takes a long time to create, I'll sell it on the Market if there's not a Farm Order for it. Chances are, some other player will pay a pretty penny to avoid having to wait!

# # 1: What's the fastest way to level up in Farmville 2: Country Escape?

It can take a lot of experience to level up in Farmville 2: Country Escape. Although you'll get experience from a number of different sources, there are two major ones.

The first is the Farm Orders board. I already told you how it's a good way to make money, but don't forget about the experience! Each order gives experience when you fill it, so it can be a quick and easy way to make some easy experience in Farmville 2: Country Escape.

Often times I'll see a Farm Order come through that just asks for a small quantity of Wheat or Apples. These don't give a ton of experience, but they are worth a few points and generally take just seconds to fill. Other times, I'll see a mega experience bonus in a Farm Order, and that will determine what crops and goods I put a priority on.

Advanced Strategy Similar to earning coins above, Eagle Eye Eddie also gives you mega bonuses to experience. Once unlocked, you'll probably focus more on him than on the Farm Requests board. **Read more about Eddie, Stamps, Animals and Ribbons in our in-depth guide!

The other way to make lots of experience in Farmville 2: Country Escape is through sending your Farm Hands foraging. Sending Farm Hands to Pappy's Pond nets you 450 experience, for instance. It takes a long time to clear Pappy's Pond, but the experience along with the other gains makes it worth doing at every opportunity.

You can also gain a bit of experience other ways, like completing quests in the Farmer's Almanac. However, I find that these two methods of gaining experience in Farmville 2: Country Escape dwarf pretty much every other source of experience.
