Candy Crush Diaries: Level 132 to 140

The back half of Wafer Wharf's introduction to orders is no doubt going to come with certain... challenges. Let's see if I can make progress in spite of them.

# Candy Crush Diaries: Level 133

Like some sort of jelly-octopus, this level's got a bunch of tight corners full of tricky jelly. By now I know the only way to make progress down there is with special candy. The best would be to get a color bomb + a striped candy, but honestly that's going to be tough.

Nevertheless, I persevere, and through a cornucopia of candy combos I managed to clear the level.

# Candy Crush Diaries: Level 134

Another timed level, but at least this time the starting candy setup isn't so terrible. This one didn't turn out to be so bad, it's just a matter of moving quickly and making big matches where possible.

# Candy Crush Diaries: Level 135

This claw-shaped level has a bit of chocolate to start things off - and it's not really in a spot where it's easy to clear. Compounding that difficulty is the requirement to get five color bomb candies in order to win. I blitzed the chocolate off the board, and then the board is so wide open that's not that hard to set up 5-in-a-row matches.

One thing I've started recognizing is when I'm getting close to a 5-in-a-row. Often you can take four in a row matches and, with a little care, stretch them out to color bombs. It can sometimes backfire, but recognizing these patterns does help me get through this level a bit quicker.

# Candy Crush Diaries: Level 136

Whoaaah, this is sort of a trippy chocolate rollercoaster on this level. Part frosting and part chocolate, this has ALL got to go if I hope to make any special candies.

I didn't notice the requirements until I'd been matching away for a while, but they're no joke. There's 1 wrapped + wrapped, 1 striped + striped, and 2 color bombs. Getting the special candies isn't too hard, but getting them close enough to match together is a bit of a challenge. Nevertheless, this level quickly falls before the might of my matching prowess!

# Candy Crush Diaries: Level 137

Look at all those teleporters. Holy mackerel. It's nearly impossible to figure out what is up and what is down on this level. There's also so many holes in the board it's practically swiss cheese!

There's not a lot of strategy here, I'm afraid. It's mostly just trying to line up the colors and making matches wherever you can. There's not a lot of special candy matches that can help, either.

I was really expecting this to take longer, but I managed to finish in about 2 lives. Weird. Maybe I got lucky?

# Candy Crush Diaries: Level 138

Yeah, that's a lot of swirls covering a lot of jelly. At the start, it's impossible to match directly on the jelly, so you've got to make a lot of horizontally striped candy. After that's done, the teleporters will start to move some candy over to those columns on the right.

It's a bummer that the swirls "absorb" the striped candy explosion, because this would be over a LOT faster if it didn't. Oh well, this one's not as bad as that funky octopus... thing from level 133.

# Candy Crush Diaries: Level 139

Another timed level, ugh. And this one has a massive reservoir of chocolate at its disposal. At least the chocolate is more or less self contained.

I managed to blow a hole through the center of it, leaving a gap that kept the chocolate from spreading further. Score! Then it was just a matter of some furious matching and I was golden.

# Candy Crush Diaries: Level 140

Yes! The end of the episode! This is going fast, now. The playing field is wide open, but there are tall orders to be made. Clearly, some massive special candy matches are in order. Just matching three every move is going to yield at most 45 times 3 = 135 candies cleared, while the orders demand at least 297.

The classic color bomb + striped candy combo is my friend again, and I'm through this one in double time. Man, that was an easy level to end the episode - usually it's far more brutal. But I'm not arguing!
